Sponsor Information

The Toddy Pond Association is seeking support from our local business community

  • The Toddy Pond Association is a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of Toddy Pond and its watershed through responsible stewardship and education.

  • We represent the interests of some 550 Toddy Pond property owners located in the towns of Orland, Penobscot, Surry and Blue Hill.

  • Our work includes Courtesy Boat Inspection and Invasive Plant Patrol to help prevent the infestation of the pond by Milfoil, Hydrilla or other invasive aquatic plants. We also monitor water quality and provide information to the public concerning lake related issues such as how to combat the adverse impact of nonpoint source pollution from storm water run-off and erosion.

Since the State of Maine has limited capacity to fight invasive plant infestations, Maine’s nonprofit lake associations bear the brunt of invasive species prevention and removal costs. Courtesy Boat Inspection and Invasive Plant Patrol are two of the most effective tools to help catch invasive plants before they take over our waters.

Donations are fully tax deductible.

o Contributors, who make an annual donation of $100 or more, will have the names of their businesses and towns listed on the acknowledgements page of our bi-annual newsletter, The Toddy Ponder. Our newsletter is delivered via first-class mail to the homes of 550 Toddy Pond property owners, approximately 400 of whom are seasonal residents where our newsletter goes to their permanent addresses.

o Sponsors, who make an annual donation of $250 or more, will have a business card* like listing with their name, logo, address, phone number, website, and e-mail address listed. *Note: the physical size of the listing may vary due to printing limitations. Sponsors will also be acknowledged on our website, www.toddypond.org. Along with helping protect Toddy Pond, you will get the name of your business and information and credit for your support out there to all our residents.

• To become a Contributor or a Sponsor, just go to our website homepage section titled ‘Support the businesses that support us!’ and click on the ‘Find Out More’ button. That will take you to our TPA Sponsorship Page where you can register as a Contributor or a Sponsor and you may donate via PayPal (most credit cards accepted). Or donations may be mailed to: Toddy Pond Association, P.O. Box 645, Blue Hill, ME 04614. If you have any questions, please call Lucy Leaf at 207-266-3212 or Dale Dailey at 207-522-1448.

Thank you for your support.
